Glenn “Pat” Patterson provides mediation and arbitration services statewide. After graduating from the University of Texas School of Law in 1974, Mr. Patterson represented Plaintiffs and Defendants in complex civil litigation cases in both federal and state courts. Having tried many jury cases to verdict, Mr. Patterson is an experienced, seasoned trial attorney. Such qualities are invaluable in assisting parties and their attorneys in reaching a successful resolution of a dispute through the alternative dispute resolution process.
Certified as a mediator in 1991 and as an arbitrator of the American Arbitration Association in 1992, Mr. Patterson has focused his practice on the alternative dispute resolution process. Now having conducted over 1,500 mediations and having been appointed as an arbitrator in over 125 arbitrations, Mr. Patterson is one of the most accomplished and experienced ADR providers in Texas. Further, he has mentored many attorneys in their training to become mediators. He has been a frequent speaker at seminars and training sessions for the Houston Bar Association and other organizations.
Mr. Patterson has served for over twenty years as an active member of the American Arbitration Association’s panel of arbitrators for employment and construction law, and has served as both a sole arbitrator and a panelist on three member panels in that capacity. The mediations he has conducted have been complex and have involved hundreds of millions of dollars.
Mr. Patterson now serves as the elected mayor of the City of Southside Place after having served as mayor pro-tem previously for six years. He is a veteran, having served in the First Infantry Division in Vietnam.
